What do you want doing?
Some budding gardeners may not be fit enough to tackle some of our garden projects themselves, and may wish to call for outside help.
Most people look through the yellow pages to find a reputable local landscaper. These tend to be qualified and experienced landscape gardeners, and you pay for their expertise.
Think about what you need doing - is it a complete overall and don't know where to start? Then its time to call in the experts! If it's a quick facelift and general tidy up, what about looking in the free local papers for a handy man? Better still, watch to see if any of your neighbours hire a helping hand, and ask if they are trustworthy. Word of mouth is far better than hiring a stranger after all.
Skip hire is a must if you need to get rid of rubble and rubbish. Make sure you hire one thats large enough for the job, theres nothing worse than running out of space. Be warned: Neighbours love skips! Ever wondered where that carpet came from?
Tool hire is an option if you need a rotivator, for example. Many garden tools are available to hire these days, and some even deliver to your home - bonus! Ladders, mowers, rollers, chainsaws - in fact, most things can be hired for the day, week or month at a time.
